Let Go The Rope

Let go the rope that holds you back
Release your grip, get back on track,
Untie the bonds that hold you down,
Start to float, you will not drown.

Take the weight off both your shoulders,
Break the clamps, (those pesky holders),
Turn your face up to the sky,
Let your panic rumble by.

The sky is blue, above the cloud,
Don’t hide your light beneath a shroud,
Step out into a brand new day,
And feel those worries fade away.

We gather much throughout our lives,
Fears, resentment, guilt from lies,
Shed these chains – it’s not too late,
For you deserve a cleaner slate.
